Frost covered the window

A visit to the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California inspired this painting. The mornings were crisp, and frost covered everything in a dense, crystalline formation that sparkled in the clear morning light. 
This painting was created with layers of tissue paper from a local flower shop, then covered in several washes of bronze and blue, allowing the organic shapes to merge with the patterns on the paper.
